A Bit About Us

Hello, we are Chloe and Cameron, the faces behind The Handmade & Hire Company Limited.

As a couple who have been together since 2016 (nearly 10 years!), we share a passion for celebrating special moments and creating unforgettable memories!

In April 2023, we transformed our dreams of running our own little business into reality by establishing The Handmade & Hire Company Limited. Since then, our passion for events and dedication to detail have helped us grow, creating amazing experiences along the way.

Our Journey

Our adventure began in 2019 with a vision to design and create personalised gifts for all occasions. Chloe, with her unique ability to craft something special from nothing, brought dreams to life. However, like many, our plans were paused by the pandemic in 2020. We shifted our focus to full-time work in essential services, but the dream never faded.

In 2023, we found Polly, our beautiful 1980s vintage Photobooth Caravan, which reignited our passion for events. Polly was the spark that launched The Handmade & Hire Company Limited. Since then, we’ve given Polly a full makeover, expanded our hire collection, grown our handmade and personalised range, and continued learning new skills. All while investing in unique products to bring you even more choice.

Our mission is simple: to make your event stand out with incredible décor, unforgettable memories, personalised touches and thoughtful design.

We are dedicated to offering high quality, personalised products and services that are as unique as you are! Our goal is to keep things affordable and accessible, while making sure every moment we’re a part of feels truly special.

Sure, we’re a ‘luxury extra’ rather than a necessity, but that doesn’t mean your celebration shouldn’t be extraordinary. Every celebration deserves a little magic, and we’re here to help make it happen.

Our Skills and Community

We’re proud members of BAPIA – the Balloon and Party Industry Alliance, keeping up to date with the latest industry standards and training so that we can always deliver our best. While it’s just the two of us, our complementary skills and shared passion mean we handle every detail with dedication and care. People often tell us how well our creative skills and logistical thinking work so well together.

From our office in Burgess Hill, we cover most of Sussex. We love supporting our local community, taking part in local events and donating our time and services to charity whenever we can.
